Colour is: Waddington Custot.

I went to London over Easter to see the Colour Is show in the Waddington Custot gallery. I was amazing to see such strong colour work from Albers, Batchelor, Davenport, Judd, Oiticica and many more. It was interesting to see how the show was curated, with sculptures straight on the floor instead of being on platforms or plinths or even being hung. It was nice to see that even without that solid white mass between the floor and artwork that they were still very much understood as sculpture, it made it feel a lot more contemporary and clean. It’s definitely something to think about when it comes to exhibiting.
